NEW PICTURES from our trip
to the Big Island of Hawaii, 2008.
The Sunset This was taken in
Provincetown, MA., which is the farthest point out on the Cape. It was a wonderful town
and the sunsets are amazing! One note of interest. I have been asked "How is it that
you can get a picture of the sunset over the ocean on the east coast?" Well, the Cape
is just far enough from the main body of land to make it look like the sun is setting over
the water. If you have a good monitor, you can just see the finger of land in the back. (This
one is worth looking at, if I do say so myself)
The Badlands An amazing place to
visit.. but I don't recommend driving through in a Ryder truck pulling a car!!
Devil's Tower There are no words to
describe the feelings one gets when visiting here.
Bandon and Me in the worst winter
in Massachusetts recorded history (at the time.. 1995-1996).
Claire, myself, and Matt hiking
up to the top of Table Rock and it's a hike I would recommend doing in the morning. Do
not, I repeat, do not attempt it during the heat of the day. Boy did we feel like idiots..
really hot and tired idiots. There are actually two "Table Rocks".. these big
intrusions that the Rogue River couldn't wash away. Very cool, indeed.
Table Rock boasts some amazing little wild flowers that only
grow up at the tops of these things. Very little is known about another rare find, but we
managed to get a picture of Matt and the infamous Table
Rock Fruit Loop. (So much for those pristine nature hikes, eh.)
New Years Day (1997) southern Oregon experienced some
major flooding. We were actually stuck up in our little rental house
because the road was washing away.
Too bad I didn't get a picture of the stream running through our living room. q:
I never swooned or drooled or anything silly like that over the
typical Hollywood stars.. yeah, they are cute, yeah, they have nice bodies... well.. I
guess we all change because I don't think I could even utter things insensibly if I ever
met this guy.
I have a lot of pictures of
my pets, too, which include dogs and
horses and Troy. (:
Thanks to a dear friend, I spent three weeks in England and Scotland a few years back. I took tons of pictures and just have a few comments to make.. first of all, you can never pack too lightly, second, buy REALLY good shoes and socks, and thirdly, never take a camera you've only used once with you.. And on that note, if you want to see some of the pics from the trip, check out the Great Britain page.
That following winter, I spent my Christmas vacation in Arizona for the first time. Now I don't know what I'd do without that two weeks of sunshine!!
Pictures of my visit to Kino Bay in Mexico.
Pictures of our wedding ceremony.
